Bel Air Public Art Amenities
The Town of Bel Air is the home to a growing number of public art amenities, including sculptures and murals located throughout the town. Each piece contributes to creating a unique community and to the overall well-being of our residents.
The Arts & Entertainment District has designed a Public Art Tour that features approximately 40 pieces of public art located throughout Bel Air. The self-guided tour is divided into two sections - a two-mile walk through historic downtown and a short drive to see pieces not accessible on the walk. The Public Art Tour website will guide you along on your mobile device or you can pick up a hard copy of the map at the Visitors Center located at 37 North Main Street in Armory Marketplace inside the Harford Artists Gallery.

Hearts of Harford
As the county seat, Bel Air is known as the Heart of Harford. Scattered throughout our public art landscape, you will see a variety of painted hearts that are a promotion created by the Bel Air Downtown Alliance. Various businesses and civic organizations have sponsored hearts throughout town and they are a fun addition to our other pieces of public art!
Cultural Arts Commission
The Cultural Arts Commission serves as an advisory commission to the Board of Town Commissioners on matters pertaining to the celebration and promotion of the cultural arts in the town. The Cultural Arts Commission is a volunteer board whose mission is to promote music, dance, visual art, performing art, photographic art, and the written word in the Town of Bel Air. In addition to sponsoring performing arts events, the Commission also has a program for public art project sponsorship and has commissioned pieces located in Town.
